バレん談合

For those who haven't quite mastered the texture of dango here is an alternative to the sweet Japanese treat. These impostor dango are made from red velvet cake pops and are covered with Red (Vanilla), Pink(Raspberry Sherbet), and White (Vanilla) candy melts. They are covered with red sugar and have milk chocolate drizzled on top. Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Hello I work at a bakery and i make cake truffles, and I was wondering how did you put all three cake rolls on one stick like that? I really would like to make something like this. Since i can't master the texture of making real dango. It always comes our slimey.

It's quite simple really. First I made three cake pops by mixing cake and frosting (normal cake pop) then I skewered them because the candy melts will crack if you skewer them later. After that I melted the candy melts and using a spoon I covered each ball individually. I allowed them to dry until they wouldn't run anymore and then I stuck them in a holder until completely dry. If you want to decorate them I'm sure you know to do it when still tacky/wet. I hope that explains it well enough! If you have anymore questions please let me know ^w^

These ingredients are rare? Really? Candy melts are just white chocolate with color already added.

All you do is either make cake balls or make a cake and shape it into balls by adding icing to crumbled cake. Melt the candy melts or chocolate and cover the cake balls after putting them on candy sticks or skewers even.
