Lionfish Under Sea Bento

This bento was made for 's Creature Contest! This is my first decorative bento, I think it turned out pretty well considering! It Contains:

Top Layer:
Coral - Onigiri coated in ebi furikake with nori
Lionfish - Meticulously carved Gala Apple

Bottom Layer:
Sand and Shells - Japanese Style Potato Salad
Octopus - Beef Sausages Sauteed in Canola Oil with Kuro Goma eyes
Sea Flowers - Raspberries
Sandy Bolders - Karaage Chicken Marinated in Shoyu and Garlic
Sea Glass - Homemade Chunky Salsa with Watermelon

I really enjoyed making this bento. I got to try some new things and create a new recipe as well. It took me approximately 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. About 45 minutes to an hour to carve the lionfish. I'm very happy with how this came out. I think the colors are all exclusive and the ideas of each part were creative if I do say so myself. I never thought I'd be able to pull something like this off and I feel quite proud to have made it. I did feel sad when I had to eat the lionfish, but he tasted delicious~! Please Enjoy!
