You can't eat shrimp raw, even in sushi. You must eat it cooked. You can tell if it's cooked by the color: raw shrimp are grey, pink shrimp are cooked.

Thank you, it was very delicious

Arigatou! Watashi wa bento wo awa! (is that right? I tried to conjugate love using their methods, I think I got it wrong though... very wrong) It's really not hard to learn. Bento are usually comprised of left overs from the weeks dinners. When packing bento you should keep the 5 colors: Red, Yellow, Green, Black, and White in mind for it to be nutritious. You can put anything you want into bento. You want to pack your bento so you don't have to warm it up if you do not want to.

hmm, i think that is right lol! :)

Oooh, that is helpful!
Isn't there a general rule for parts? like, 1/2 of it should be rice, a 1/4th should be protein, or something like that? >.< lol!

really?! I might be slowing getting it then! I'm trying to portion out the verbs I know into ichidan and godan verbs so I can start trying to memorize them. Oh when do you use -masu verbs versus "dictionary" (what they call it) like taberu (ru being the non-stem part)?

I think I've heard something like that, but honestly I don't listen to it. I generally use the most rice (pasta/bread) because it's filling. I'll use little meat (onigiri filling, furikake, bits of chicken/beef). I like to use a lot of veggies/fruits because they're healthy to eat. So I usually use about 1/2 rice, 1/8 meat, 1/4 veggies/sides, and 1/8 desserts (if I add any). That's approx of course. Sometimes I add more of one thing than another depending on if I have leftovers or making it from scratch. You can see my portions in my bentos. The later ones are much healthier because I'm learning how to portion it better.

like, when do you use -masu, or what forms do you use?
Cause masu us generally used to make words more polite.. there are 12 different forms of -masu that you can use, depending on the tense and word circumstance lol

oooh, i may try it your way!
I have a cutee 2 tier bento that my mother got me as a gift, and i havent even used it yet because i have nowhere to pack a lunch for! >< but i think i will start practicing packing it just so i learn lol!

....hmm they've taught me
Present
Past
Negative
Past Negative of Masu and Desu (informal too, but i want to learn one thing and be down with it before I switch over to another. It's hard enough trying to learn the one for me)
I'm getting a bit more and more confused as the lessons go... >.<'

That's so cool! Right now I have no reason to pack a lunch so I just make them for lunch. I'll have less time to shoot them when I go off to classes. I'll do my best to keep it up though!

I think this might be easier for me to understand. Yes that's what they're teaching me now. I'm not solid on it though. I'm still trying to figure it all out.

I make mine just before I eat it, but that's a good idea too. I know! I love making them as well! Ohh Watashi wa bento wo ai tsukurimasu.... naosu ka?
